In her own school in Madrid, Ana Jessen, a professional bookbinder and book restorer, teaches classical bookbinding techniques step by step, using tools, materials and traditional procedures that, for centuries, have been an essential complement to printing in the task of preserving human knowledge in books.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn and practice different binding styles and techniques. In recent years, and due to the high restoration demand, we have created a new courses on Restoration of old books.

Classes will provide the students bookbinding theoretical knowledge and hands on experience by means of practical workshops where to learn, and use, the appropriate tools and materials.
