Ana Jessen, professional bookbinder and restorer of old and antique books, in her school she teaches classic binding techniques step by step using traditional materials and processes, those that for centuries have been an essential complement to printing in the task of preserving the human knowledge contained in books.
Students will have the opportunity to learn and practice the different bookbinding styles and techniques. In recent years, due to demand, we set up a course on restoration of old books. Classes consist of theoretical instruction related to bookbinding as well as workshops, where the most appropriate tools and materials are used.
